How business orders work

One price list, three kinds of order

Most companies come to us for one of three things: a gift for their people or their clients, stock to sell in their own shop, or a stroopwafel iron running live at an event. The discount works the same way for all three. The more you order, the lower the price per unit.

Pricing

Better prices, and they get better with volume

Business orders are priced on their own trade list, not on the webshop prices. It steps down as the order grows, so a pallet for a hotel chain and twenty five boxes for an office are not paying the same rate per box.

The bigger the order, the lower the unit price

The discount is tiered. Tell us the quantity you have in mind and we will tell you exactly which step you land on, with no obligation to take it.

Never a day old

We never keep what we bake from one day to the next. Your order is baked the day it goes out, the same batch we sell over the counter that morning. For standing wholesale orders we agree a rhythm and keep to it.

Pick from what we already make

Stroopwafels, cookies, alfajores, vegan and gluten-free: mixed in one order or all the same thing. We work from our own range, and that is a good part of why the price is what it is.

Proper invoicing

We invoice your company with btw shown separately, and for EU businesses with a valid VAT number we can handle it the usual way. Melly's BV, KvK 96080442.

What happens next

From your message to your delivery

    You tell us the shape of it

    Roughly how many, roughly when, and what it is for. You do not need the final number to get a price, an estimate is enough to start.

    We send prices and a proposal

    Usually within two working days: the trade price for your quantity, what it includes, lead time and delivery. If something you asked for is not possible, we say so and suggest what is.

  3. 3

    We bake it and get it to you

    Once you confirm, we schedule the bake and ship it or have it ready for collection. For events we agree the timing and bring everything with us.

Business orders, answered

What is the minimum order?
There is no fixed minimum to ask for a price. Trade pricing starts to make a real difference from a couple of dozen boxes upward, and below that the webshop is usually the simpler route. Tell us your number and we will be straight with you about which makes more sense.
How much cheaper is it than the webshop?
Enough to resell on, which is the honest answer. The trade list is tiered by quantity, so the exact figure depends on how much you order. Send us the quantity and we will give you the real price rather than a range.
How long does a business order take?
We bake to order, so plan on one to two weeks for a decent sized order, plus shipping. December is the exception: the gifting season fills up, so if you want stroopwafels on desks before Christmas, come to us in October or November rather than the week before.
Can you put our logo on the boxes?
No, we do not do custom printing or custom packaging. We are a bakery, not a print shop, and taking that on would push up the price of every order. Your order arrives in our own gift boxes and tins, which hold their own. If you want your company card in there, that is quickly done on your side before you hand them over.
Do you deliver outside the Netherlands?
Yes. We ship across Europe and further, and business orders travel the same way as our webshop orders. For a large or heavy order we quote the freight separately, because a pallet does not go by parcel post.
Can you bake at our event?
Yes. We bring the iron, the dough and someone to run it, and bake fresh stroopwafels in front of your guests. It is priced per day. Tell us the date, the location and how many people you expect.
How do you invoice?
We invoice your company with btw shown separately, payable by bank transfer. We are Melly's BV, KvK 96080442, btw NL867460878B01. For EU companies with a valid VAT number we handle it the usual way.
Do you do vegan and gluten-free for business orders?
Yes, both are in the range and can go into a business order. Mention it when you enquire so we can check the numbers, and see our allergen guide for exactly what is in each product.
